Glass Tank is Bowing

With those dims, sounds like a 30L. I had one with no center brace, and it bowed pretty badly. Worst shape tank I ever saw. Held water like a dream.

It would probably be advised to brace it since it is in the living room.

No, it's definitely a 38 gallon tank. I quoted the dimensions wrong by a bit, it's actually like 19.5" tall. I forget the exact dimensions I got with a tape once to verify it's the 38 gallon tank.

You guys are making me feel good in one instance and scared ****less in another.

I'm going to take a closer look tonight at some things. Like I never looked at the back to see if it's bowing equally. Not sure what to do though if I do decide to replace the tank as I don't particularly want to get a new stand in addition to a new tank.

I can remember years ago i had a few 29 gallons and i think 35 gallon tanks. They were 3 feet long 12 inches deep. The glass was maybe 3/8 thick but probily 1/4. They all bowed but none broke.
