glass tank weight

i have a 150 tall .. and it takes 2 big guys to move it around empty .. but we also brought it up 3 flights of stairs .. the 125 i have i put up on the stand myself but i am also stronger then the normal person ..

i would say anything bigger then 50-75 you should have another person for .. and anything 200 and bigger needs 4 people (so everything is even)

im not saying that it HAS to be that way .. just a good ave guess

one thing to remember is that 6 foot 150's are significantly heavier than 6 foot 125's, as the glass thickness goes up.

eg. from the chart above, Aqueon's 150g is more than 100 pounds heavier than their 125.

that is a big difference.

For safeties sake I would recommend 4 people. If someone drops the tank on their foot, it wouldn't be a pretty sight.

it took 2 people to move my glass 120 4' X 2' X 2', but when we got to our stairs....Jesus Christ only new that pain...

my 6 foot 125 was easily moved, and we didnt even get all the gravel out of it first, 2 people the only problem was the 180 from the living room to the stairs =.= that corner sucks
