Glass thickness ? 55 gal to 300 gal

Ha ya that helped thanks!! I also think that thicker glass is only needed for wider tanks because there is not enough equal support. The closer you get to the center of the front wall the weaker it is because its not as close to the supports.
 
o ha no i agree with what is said in that example. im not saying that the witdh affects the pressure just that ideally width wont play a factor. But in reality the wider it is the more support you need and if you only give the same amount of support that you would to a shorter tank then the pressure would cause the plywood to flex and the glass would shatter.
 
ill try and draw a solid works drawing witch i can run it throw test that will simulate the forces. keyword try tho, ive only used it twice and will prolly take a bit.
