glass thickness for a 6x3x2

plan on a diy glass or acrylic (if i can find any) ..... the dimensions are 6x3x2 ..... what thickness should be used for both materials?

you can stick with a 3/4"...but lets just wait and see if any more informative members chime in

Im planning on building a plywood tank too.I went to a local glass company and bought a starfire glass door it was only 200 bucks,these companies have lots of stuff laying around ,I think 1/2 inch tempered glass is fine

Kind of linked to this topic, is 10mm way too thin for a 72x30x30 or do you think it would hold?

That is the same depth as I am building and after my research I feel it is certainly too thin but I defer to people with more expertise as I am just in the beginning stages of this monster tank experience..

Well i think i'm only going to fill the tank to the 27" mark or so as i want a fog / planted area at top probably, but still not sure it'll hold

72x30x30 <------size? I go for 0.5 inch thick then put 6 braces from the top will make it sturdier and use the max amount of silicon hehehehe

Well it's a tank for sale, 10mm apparently on a 72x30x30. Reckon it'll hold? He's apparently had it 2-3 years with p's in it
