glass thickness for a 6x3x2

Well it's a tank for sale, 10mm apparently on a 72x30x30. Reckon it'll hold? He's apparently had it 2-3 years with p's in it

Is it a DIY tank? Is it tempered glass? As I said, my tank is going to be two feet longer than this but the same depth, 30 ". I came to believe after everyone's advice, that 1/2" was the bare minimum and thicker would be better. MAYBE if it was made by a professional or established company, they knew what they were doing. I just wouldn't want glass that thin in a tank that tall in my living room. Again, maybe more experienced guys will tell me I am full of it.

my tank is 30" tall and half inch... my plywood tank in design now will be 3/4" thick and 30" tall..... thicker glass is better if you can afford it and have the help to lift it...

Well apparently it's mega braced, so i'm not too worried about it tbh

Kind of linked to this topic, is 10mm way too thin for a 72x30x30 or do you think it would hold?

atleast 12mm. if u went 72x24x28 u can go 10mm

the basic rules of glass thickness is on the end panels 2x2 10mm
2x28inch 10 mm 2.5x2.5 12mm 2x3 12mm i work for a company that has built over 33,000 tanks and still goin strong so im sure they know what ther doin

Hmmm, well apparently this thing is really really braced, am waiting for photos atm, he's had it up and running for a while, and not with gentle fish in (piranhas etc)
