Glasscages = Rude

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Doesn't hurt to call and ask. It says on the front page all aquariums and filters. The ones they can't ship via UPS usually go through a truck co to a terminal.

If that is the case then it would be a very good deal, only 600 more than I paid for the 300 from glasscages (including delivery fees). I really like their option to be able to run electrical wires through the overflow, that would make things much neater.

Why haven't you looked into TRUVU? They are offering free shipping right now. Their prices are comparable to Glass Cages acrylic tank prices. Plus lifetime warranty can't be beat.

I called this company and they were very polite and their prices or good, especially since shipping is free. I'm definately considering them. Thanks for the tip.

Tenecor came down to a better deal than my last post. They will also deliver it to my door, which is nice.

They may get 100 calls a day from little kids, just like we got here on this board, that want to TALK tanks. They are in the selling business not the talking. It may not do their reputation any good but as long as the sales keep rolling in, what are they losing?

Anybody ever sold cars? You get 40 guys under 18 looking at a corvette, you get tired of showing every one of them all the bells and whistles, all of a sudden you start passing on those customers. You give them to the new guy, he walks out and sells a car to some kid that just received a payout on huge lawsuit and he makes 2 grand. You cannot win them all.

You always hear negatives about Glasscages, and you notice they do not try to come on any of the boards and sell their tanks, and no advertising, why not? Because they do not need to, they are selling their wares.

All this publicity they get may be negative, but you may get a guy that has never heard of them and he goes and calls them, they are courteous enough for him, so he buys. He heard about them on a negative thread, but he still remembered the name. No such thing as bad publicity.

Well I hope they are doing well because with their attitude they wont be around if business gets slow.

my tank was delivered by the same lady, that took my order over the phone @ glasscages. and the tank came in the exact dimensions that i ordered.

If you are going to call someone and talk bad to them at least be man enough to identify yourself. Talking crap on the phone is bad enough, hiding yourself really makes you a wimp.

Like the threats you see on these boards, pitiful little punks.
Agreed , I hate when people talk s*** online or on the phone. I never get it in person it irritates me to all hell :D

What size aquarium did you order?

I've ordered from glasscages several times. Each time they were helpful and nice. Only issue i have with them is that they are occasionally late with the delivery. Never had any real problems with them

From your post, you called them up without even a specific tank in mind, told them you wanted to spend around 2 grand but you also were looking at other places. I doubt anybody would have spent any time with you.

They are looking for buyers..........just my thoughts

Like I said I sold cars for a couple of years, I sent people packing that were there to talk. I had a family to feed, I needed sales.

And for the record how many of you have heard of a Glasscages tank failing? If it is sctratched and you accept it.......dumb you. I cannot remember any of the tanks falling apart.
