global warming ehh?

Of course there is a natural cycle. Carbon emissions fluctuate, global temperatures fluctuate, the world has changed considerably. But other than a few anomolies, on a large scale there are still global patterns. Ice ages have global patterns. Its a fact that atmospheric carbon and global temperatures are proportionate to each other, and the current carbon ppm is way above anything we've ever seen. There is absolutely no doubt by anyone who knows anything about the topic that it is happening. It's a shame it'll have to get to the point when it is negatively affecting everyone when it comes to necessities, like water resources, before everyone thinks... hmmmm... somethings going on. Isn't helped by the worlds rediculous population size either.

That's a whole different topic..

Yea. It all interlinks though, thats the beauty of it.

It definitely does. What pisses me off is the people who shouldn't be parents are because they think they "want one" or because it's what they're "supposed" to do. Then if you tell someone that you don't want kids they look at you like you're Satan. I could rant for pages on this but I'll spare you. It just really irks my taters.

The glow of righteousness isn't enough to warm the heart. Sometimes being right is not as important as being more understanding.

Found that in the Planet's Horoscope.....

why would the earths tempurature not fluctuate? it if stayed steadily at the same temps it would be the only thing that was consistant. "global warming" is just a polititians way to take advantage of a natural occurance, blaming it on humans. I can't see how, with the amount of humans there are on the earth, we could drastically effect the worlds tempurature. there are too many factors to it.
that's my strong(yet un-educated) opinion.;)

The focus of the Kyoto protocol, which the U.S. declined to sign, and other efforts to address "global warming" or "climate change" have focused on imposing limits or reductions in manmade greenhouse gas emissions, not global temperatures. Thus, the goal is to address the artifical component of "global warming" and not any natural variations in temperature. It's also not always a partisan issue, as even the Republican "governator" of California recently signed AB 32, which requires the Air Resources Board to adopt rules and regulations designed to reduce statewide greenhouse gas emissions to 1990 levels by year 2020.

IMO, the Kyoto protocol is flawed because it exempts developing countries such as China and India from compliance. The U.S. was justified in not signing for that reason alone. Why should the developed nations bear the brunt of reducing our greenhouse gas emissions while China and India are allowed to have their respective industrial revolutions at the world's expense?

The Kyoto Protocol won't have any significant impact on global warming.

Especially with China and India exempt. :(
