global warming ehh?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
well, we ended up with 8.5 inches here last night. and i didnt mean for this to turn into a huge debate. i also agree that nothin ever stays the same. i wasnt alive a hundred billion years ago (or whatever) so i personally dont know what it was like. but thats my .02. all i know is that its really cold here, and its been like this for awhile.

The world changes.. in the dinosaur years the lakes were all in different spots than today. The fossils found today are sometimes/usually found in the areas of dried up prehistoric lakes. THe world is ever changing.. all i kno.

Is this why there are robins here in Feb. ??? :nilly:

In my earlier post I had reported a robin as well. A direct cause of the globe warming - it is literally THAT WARM, that the robins are back "for spring" - NOW. In other words, we are seeing a dramatic shift in the seasons.

I dunno, seems like a lot of ignorant people here. Where I come from I dont think anybody doubts global warming, or at least rejects it so blatantly.

Don't you think all the pollution caused by the exponential growth rate of the human population has any effect at all on the planet?

think about it like this........

human population and our resulting pollutants have increased dramatically in the last few decades, while the sources of our food , oxygen and clean water have decreased dramatically, both trends are continuing and building speed....
we keep making more people but no-one is making any more land or air

I understand that resources are dying off while more and more people are being born and wasting them at record pace(edit). Of course I believe what we have had some effect on the planet. However, I'm not as big an advocate that "global warming" is going to kill us all. Seeing as how people have been predicting the end of the world since the beginning of time. Seems to me like it's a little bit global warming, and a lot more fear mongering.

It amazes to see very many responsible Monsterfishkeepers show lack of understanding or innocense of what's happening to their own environment.

Fishkeepers who takes great lengths to research the proper care for their monsters to understand what temps, PH, and other parameters are beneficial for their fish are oblivious or refuse to heed the signs of what's happening to their own space.

We all live in one big aquarium called Planet Earth. If we neglect to care for its well being, someday it will cease to nurture us all. That day is coming whether you believe or accept it. Maybe not in the lifetime of most members here.....but it's coming....and sooner or faster if we allow the continuous erosion of its nurturing capacity.

I feel like Noah wanting to build a Monster Space Ship to take my breeding pairs of monsters to a Monster Planet somewhere else in the galaxy away from you guys!
