For a tank to catch people's eye, without having to go Monster, that's one way to get people to look at aquaria. If it brings more people into the hobby that's good.
Personally, maybe between the ages of 9-14 when I loved neon/ fluorescent colors I would have loved this sort of fish. OR when I was early twenties, abusing drugs, and spending most of my time in a black light... I would have certainly loved these then.
Now, I want to create an environment that helps the fish to live as naturally as they can. I like bright, unusual, or interesting fish don't get me wrong. But I find it amazing how peculiar and specifically designed nature has made the fish for fitting into it's environment.
BUT.... Like it's been said before, I would buy these almost just to reward a company for having GM fish as opposed to dyed fish. The use of dye on/in a fish in order to make it fit what fashion whims humans have is a disgusting practice.
