GLOFISH- FERTILE OR STERILE - FACT OR MYTH

I do not support the people who have produced these fish. I dont dissagree with the production of GMO fish but the fact that they "patented" these is just not ethical. they should be able to be bred and sold by whomever wants to and I do sell mine back to my lfs. I just keep some orange ones and let them breed to their hearts content in my heated outdoor pool.

Really? That's interesting, do you have a link?

They are patented and trademarked, just google. That is the reason they cost $5-$7 as opposed to near free like a regular zebra danio.

Evidently breeding them is illegal as well. Though they will breed regardless.

Well, just having one is gonna make it hard to breed If you have two, the offspring will be coloured like the parent.
