I was considering setting up this 55gal I have but I havent really done anything with it because nothing has sparked my interest until now.

I know a lot of people here are into natural settings, as am I, My show tank looks like a sandy lagoon, Just wish more algea grew :grinno: But I want some completely abnormal to go in the bedroom.

Well, I have just discovered an amazing invention. Glow in the dark cement. Its primarily used for driveways illuminates at night I guess. Im thinking about doing a DIY 3d backround and using this glow cement. It would look normal during the day, but as soon as I kick the light off it will look like a radioactive wasteland for a couple hours. Excellent time-released nightlight. What to you guys think???

I think I will do a photoshop mock-up blue print of what I am considering.

as long as it isnt toxic you should be okay and it would look neat

Here you have it ladies and gentlemen. The first of its kind.
Im excited to get started on this project and will keep the updates coming. I think I will get the supplies tomorrow. This is just a rough layout to give you an idea, I will probably do rocks instead of a tree stump. Some glow in the dark plants will definately be included as well. This tank will be epicly toxic looking.
Any insight you guys would like to share would be great.

Cool, I really like this idea. I hope it goes well, I'll be following along on this one!

If it actually works out for you, i may just get my hands dirty for the first time and try making a G.I.D DIY background myself...
