I think I saw the same show on animal planet and i think they said the fish were born sterille.....

They're not. I did a bit of work in a lab that breeds these.

I also used to work in a lab that bred these. The lab I worked at had these super bright orange ones that would intensify when you turned the black light on. It was pretty sweet.

Why are they illegal?

I chose not to add anymore as to not start a fight in your other thread. The PRK is doing just what I was talking about in your other thread. It is easier to make something illegal than put restrictions on it. Don't worry though, in Kali you wont be able to own Pacu's and other monster fish soon anyway.

Like I said in the other thread becareful what you wish for. Kali has already started the process. It just makes it easier for them to pass the next bill to completely make fishkeeping there illegal unless your a zoo. You guys already have an asanine ammount of fish on your restricted list. Some of them have no purpose, in my eyes, being on the list. California always knows whats best for it's people.:screwy:

Thats why they are illegal.

?

The other thread is not meant to be contraversial, I just thought that there should be something to stop n00bs from getting potential monsters. And fishkeeping will NEVER be illegal. Ever.

My wife wanted these for our community tank. I refused to buy gold ones because I can get gold ones alot cheaper. So I bought her 7 red ones. In the tank was one small angel. 5 black neons, 5 black tetras, 3 coryies 2 swords 2 dwarf gouramis 1 golden dojo 3 guppies. Its a 75 gallon. < i won the battle on the fish tank lost the war on the fish.> I add said glo fish and they are killers. All they kept doing was swimming by the Blue Dwarf Gourami. They gave him a heart attack. I found him on his side breathing hard. I inspect the rest of the fish. Fine. Water parameters fine. I guess there was just too much action for him. He started swimming in circles really fast all the way to the top and then floated back down dead. Nothing wrong with him. I guess he didnt like all that dithering in the tank.
