Glowing tank water

Ive done 2 water changes so far of about 40-50% each...Im out of town till tomorrow so Ill be back at daily water changes once im back.240g.jpg
 
I guess this is a new thing in fishing bait. You can make your earthworms glow. I wouldn't think the worms would actually glow in the water unless there is some actinic lighting

With my lights off the water is clear...white lights or any others on and the water is green :(
Yup...More WC for me this weekend.
 
Looks like fluorescein, a non-toxic dye. Same dye they use to color the river in Chicago green for St Patrick's Day.
A little goes a long way... Obviously.

It's also used in some meds (not as active ingredient), I know it from treating blue-green algae.

I actually like it in a strange way...

Lol, glad I'm not the only one. I've added new driftwood during an algae bloom in my tank and it got a swampy quality (especially with the moon light on) I really liked! :D
