Anybody who starts any thread, in any forum about Barry is in for a very "spirited" debate. The guy is a polarizing figure, period. You think you witnessed history, I think I witnessed history when I saw Aaron. Obviously opinions vary.

Check out Ted William's numbers, if he doesnt go to war (twice) in the prime of his career, nobody comes close.

Don't get me wrong , I'm not a Barry hater but nor am I a fan . I did think it was cool to watch history , even if it was tainted . I will also enjoy watching Arod break Barry's record .

Sorry to derail , but why do Oakland fans hate SF fans & Yankee fans hate Sox fans ? I understand people routing for their teams , but people take things way too far.

The desperation to publicly convict him became more and more desperate, till he did it. Then to my surprise, not even 24 hours people acted a damn fool over it. I think he is as much a champ as anyone else. He did it in the face of adversity as well! He is the champ, I will honor him forever. (Seattle sure produces some big big names ) Pay-Rod? we will see. The world is lucky Griffy got hurt so many times!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you mean the world is unlucky. How great would it have been for a guy to break baseballs most important record, and do it without cheating.
