Goby ID help please

My son caught this goby in Palm CIty, FL - couple of hours north of Miami on the East Coast. It was in a drainage pond connecting to the ocean - so fresh, but I'm sure a decent amount of salt. We have caught and raised up fat sleeper gobys many times - this guy is different and has a bigger appetite. It is only a few inches, but is taking out mosquito fish left and right, even if he can't swallow them whole. It also doesn't swim around much, like the fat sleepers do. It hands out at the bottom and stalks. My son thinks is may be a water cow goby. Any thoughts:

Don’t think it’s a wate cow. Looks like a bigmouth sleeper goby.
 
Can't say I've ever seen them this small. The fins would make me think other wise. And the eyes. I'd say not a water cow. SharptoothBass SharptoothBass may help.

Maybe eleotris pisonis? There fins seem to be clearer than their cousins. Wild guess on my part. I'm sure sharp will know when he chimes in.

It's eleotris ambylopsis there we go
How do you know. For others to learn including myself. Not heard of this species being kept in the states either due to misidentification or lack of import.
