GOBY OR CHANNAR

My latest update... I called d importer whom brought in this fish & he said is African Channa...
That's why till now I still very confuse...:shakehead :WTF:

It's definitely not a Parachanna. They have nostril tubes kind of like some Bichirs and look more elongated. I didn't seen any nostril tubes on this one. The Goby answer does look more likely. Maybe a better picture would help.

not to be rude but that importer does not know what he is talking about, first of all channa has only 1 top fin, you fish has 2 top fins(clearly see in the first pic), also scratch the wolf because its not a wolf either because wolfs only also have one top fin not 2, its a goby like i stated before your making yourself go crazy over nothing:ROFL:

mate , i give you a head close up of african channa i.e. parachanna look at the picture yourself and it is plain to see this is no channa , also as allready pointed out , channa have 1 long fin on top and not two like this and a long fin on botton with very small pelvic fins ,in fact the only thing that this has in common with a channa is the fact the colour is similar to a parachanna obscura , nothing else on the fish even closley resembles a channa. it is without doubt 100% goby , never trust what the importers name there fish , 9/10 it will be a made up fantasy name so the fish fetch a higher price , i really would not be suprised if they tols you it was a "marble lightning twinfin psuedochanna sp." because that would fectch far more than just more than "goby " or "water cow" search goby or water cow on this site and you will find others to compare to , then search parachanna obscura the diferance is impossable to miss

cheers col
