Going Acrylic (Used) Questions

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Just leave it a solid color. If you want to get fancy do a 3d background. I like blue backgrounds on black sand personally so I would leave it. The black acrylic sheet would be the simple fix to your problem. I have thought about getting white ones to put in my tanks with I want to have white sand and black in my black ones. Using it for the bottom sheet and not having sand.

Its going to be a PITA to get a sheet of acrylic in there - if Im going to bother with that, Ill do a background like this...only takes up 3"

Any suggestions on paint?

Its going to be a BB - and so I want the back and the base to be black...just not sure if theres something that will work. Never painted on acrylic or inside a tank.

Thanks -

Got the tank today, and its really nothing major.

Id really like to move that overflow though - think I can do it with a dremmel?

How would one go about moving the overflow.

The back paint is thin and kinda rubbery - it pulls off with your finger nail. I think that will be an easy clean up as well.

Got the tank.

Fixed the crack in the top bracing...working to clean it out.

Will be keeping overflow where it is and using it - not worth the hassle IMO at this point.

Cleaning the paint off the back...it comes off with a fingernail, but Im not entirely certain its the fastest method with 1440 square inches.

Any suggestions on that?

Once its off any suggestions of paint to use (externally I guess) for the back and bottom?

Thanks
