going BOLD on the stocking list for the new 320 gallon

i know im sure ill get females in the mix but the last thing i want is my dovii or motaguense pairing off and killing the rest of the tank. the rest of them im not too worried about yes they can be mean but most likely won't do too much damage. i would put my money on an all male tank working alot better than having 3 or more pairs all fighting for breeding space in a tank
 
Wow!! I like to see this work. I have a 360 and can't keep aggressive cichlids in the 360. I have it divided now, because the grammodes will kill anything that enters the tank. I have him and the Beani sharing the 360 with a divider in between them. Eventually I will put the Grammodes in a 100 gallon tank. I have raise some of everything in the 360, but as they grow, they kill... Keep us posted on your 320, I am hoping your work and them you can give me some pointers on how to make it work :)
 
if by RD you mean red devil i dont really care for the looks of them.. (i konw ill get a bashing from someone for saying that) i agree EJKC and thats pretty much my only strategy to this is hoping for all males. my thoughts is that they all have potential to kill eachother and if something pairs off then everything else is pretty much dead.. look at it this way go hang out with a bunch of guys drinkin beer playin MODCOD2 everything is cool, then throw a hot chick in the mix and there will be a brawl LOL. really im just hoping for the best haha i get them tomorro, but i wont have my 320 established for a few weeks so some will go in the 150 and others in thier own 40gallons

Hopefully the tig mots are rocking though i know i loved mine and the mix i see on paper in front of me is gonna be awesome i think your gonna need a festea , beani ,and a real green terror to complete this collection then id thin them out to one male of each species
 
hey buddy i thought you never get on here any more haha. yes ill have to find a large green terror once these guys hit about 5 inches and ill pick up one of their large dempseys from bird world once these guys are a little bigger. yes the beani and dovii will be have to be on the next order. and its hard to be sure about sex at 2 inches but i do want all males
 
at 2 inches it would take a genius as they dont really show any sexual difference until at least 4 inches if you get a few females maybe ill set up a few more tanks and take them off your hands and start breeding them myself
