so i just got done building my 320gallon and just put in a order to fill my tank with devils. what's your opinions. to start things off 2 cichla orino, 2 parachromis motaguense, 2 p. managuense, 1 p. friedrichgthalii, 1 dovii, 1 c. beani. im starting them all at about 2 inches and i do have back up tanks incase things don't work out. lets hear some thoughts

I had
1 x Dovii
1 x Festae
1 x Jag
1 x Oscar
1 x Umbee
1 x Sail Fin Pleco
I grew them up together from about 1 - 2", they were all male and all adult when i sold my tank and they were fine and are still fine today, of course there will be disagreements but once the chain of command is established they seemed to live peaceful as.:D:D:D

oscars can be really aggresive id bet this one was
wg howd the new fish do thru the first night i lost one of my deamon's ill bet he was the one turned sideways nut the rest are up chasing around

i have always liked green terrors. i was going to let there get to about 4 or 5 inch then find a terror at 6 to 8 inches... mine are all acting very very shy but they are all still very alive :) the lyonsi and the 2 freddys are starting to come around but the jags are Probly the most skiddish. the markings on the jags and on the tigers is amazing member how they looked good in the bags... well i would say they are 3 to 4 times more pronounce now :) bummer about your daemon. good thing you got 5 more

Yeah he was aggressive, i was into oscar's when i first got tanks, then came to love all cichlids, He was in a tank with 4 other oscars and was the boss by far, with the others he fell all the way to the bottom of the chain but still held his ground, I have found with a lot of set ups that when you grow fish up together they seem to be fine, of coarse there are exceptions.

whew that would be awesome if you got it to work :)

im hoping it will look great.. i mostly want the pbass but i dont ONLY want bass so this is where i came up with the idea for the parachromis because hopefully they get big enought that they wont be bite size for the bass.. and if they are bite size hopefully they put up a big enough fight that the bass wont gulp them haha..

good luck yo

so far so good everything is already over 4 inches and i have only lost 1 red tiger. it wasnt due to agression it was to my dang overflow before i could get egg crate cut in the holes so nothing would get sucked in. i have kept a close eye on everything and there actually isnt too much agression this far.. i know they are still young im more worried once they start getting over 6 and 8 inch range..
