Going carp fishing for the first time!!!

i just went guys and didnt catch anything....... i caught a little chub and that was it....... o well
 
I love carp fishing. I use oatmeal balls. Stotty and DanDanUK are big enthusiasts, but I haven't seen those brits in awhile.

Agreed that they are pests that have infested lakes, but they are great fish and a hell of a fight. You can't affect the population by killing them, so why bother? Just my thought.

I’m still about mate pop in no and then :D its Carp fishing mad time in the UK doing a lot at the moment but yes a much sought after fish in Europe people don’t realise the fighting potential on light gear sweet corn is probable one of the best baits other than good old bread. a long time..... like 7 hrs...
 
Here is a small on I caught on 4pound test and a 5ft ultralight rod. But my biggest carp to date is just over 22 pounds.

nice carp my biggest carp was 4pounds,but i am not a carpfishermen.
