What lake are you diving and are you collecting or just taking pix I will do this before I die that is a promise but for now I'll sit here jealous have fun and be careful

I'm not planning on doing any collecting.
IF i catch something that is not sold here that i like i may ship them back, otherwise, most of the stuff we will see is available from the importers.
So i'm just going to be taking underwater pix and vids.

If you are planning to do a tour in the future, here is a general look at the cost.
Flight $2500.
I have been watching for 3 months out, and i have seen the range of $1800 to $5000.
so for me getting my ticket 2 weeks out, i'm cool with the price.
I'm coming from SFO, if you are coming from NY or Miami your price will be about $500 less.
Lodging $1500.
This includes meals and boat crew. We won't be staying all the time at the lodge, there are days when we will be away from the lodge and staying in tents around the lake.
No wiggle room on this price, unless you stay someplace else, in which case you would not be with our group.
Vaccines and anti malaria pills. $300.
depending on your insurance.
Incidentals. $500.
So you are looking at roughly $5000.

One Pelican 1600 hardcase takes up my BC and Regulator!
I have not even got to my fins, mask, wetsuit or cameras!
then sleeping bag, clothes.
shoot, i may only have space for my walk around speedo's!
I was hoping to only do one checked bag/case.
I can't see how i can do this with less than 2 checked and 1 carry on.
Oh well, whats another $300 when you already have $5k in to the trip!
I'm not so worried about the extra baggage fees, as having two checked bags increase chance of something getting lost or damaged.
