If the vacation is about a week or less, I generally do not bother arranging for my fish to be fed during that time. You could set up an automatic feeder (if your fish are on pellets), but set it up so that it dispenses only a little bit of food per feeding to minimize the chances of it negatively impacting the water quality.
I agree with ado about not feeling too good about adding that many feeders all at once. I do not personally own any pbass myself, but if I were to release a bunch of feeder guppies into my oscar tank all at once, they would make it a goal to eat them all at once... and then make their water nasty with poop all at once.
