I have now put the little girl in the sump to try and feed her back up with earth worms .. I have just checked on her as shes been in sump 4 hours and she was upside down I have straighterd her up but looks like she's not gunna make it my first ray loss is on the cards :( Iam well p@@sed

I know iam gutted though I always thought she was eating . She was swimming around top of tank this morning and my arrow add a little go so think that was the final straw for her . It's a big shame as she add some great spottin

been there! with a VERY nice male MM, still hurting from that. he was a bad dude. but we go on. dont beat your self up about it. sounds like your doing everything you can. just keep the lights off and no stress towards the ray. she MIGHT come back

I wonder what it is that makes rays go this way...Any thoughts?

Maybe we need to post up all parameters and be brutally honest when this happens even to rule out that it is not parameters?

It could be metals in the water..copper or worse, chloramine, very high nitrates, pesticides or something genetic but we do not or cannot test for most of these things..it could be a build up of something in the food even.

It would be good to know if the animal is wild caught or if it has had contact with wild caught stock.

Can anyone else think of other obscure issues? It may be worth the expense of autopsies to rule out what it is not?

Hope it makes it!
