Going to Europe...anything good to do out there??

So I'm going to Europe (Belgium) for work at the end of July, be there for about 2 weeks. This will be my first time going abroad and im scarrrrred lol! AND i'm going alone.

Anybody wanna give a travelling nooblet some pointers? thing i must do? things i better NOT do? must see while im there? can i drink the water there and not have explosive bubble guts for 3 days straight? haha kidding ;)
 
what you scared of over there? lol

See if you can bring any fish back :)
 
haha nothing really. i was thinking of taking the train on the weekend and go somewhere. dont know where to go though
 
find out all the fish stores and figure out how you can ship back to the US. seriously, what if you see some pbass or others?

I wouldn't worry about the food and all, you aren't in Asia. LOL
 
how would that even work lol? do i just buy a fish, bag it up and ship it to myself? i have no idea. what about customs?
 
ask the LFS. Tell them you are an AMERICAN and if its possible to ship this back. They could tell you info. I just don't want to see a grown man cry when he see's Azuls, etc for like $5 each :D :D :D

Be sure to check out the food, I love to eat and try other cultures food. Just don't be like that Andrew ZImmerman guy from Bizarre Foods eating all that crazy stuff :D

Haha... where have you heard this?..

All I heard of Belgium is that it is so boring so that birds fly upsidedown when flying over belgium.... buuut that is probably not true. :D You could do a visit at Stendker Discus in Germany or at DiscusHans in Holland, Stendker are Europes largest Discus distributor.
 
Well, I live in the country next to Belgium - been there a few times.

Do you know where you are going yet there? IF you are going to Antwerp thats a beautiful city with loads to do (actually going there next week with my boyfriend for our 2 year anniversary).

Not much does and don'ts to be honest - pretty liberal country.

While you are there, you do have to try a belgian waffle - but look for a decent place, they are delicious. If your married, bring home some begian chocolates (thats what they are famous for) and that should earn you loads of brownie points :)

I'll let you know some places in Antwerp after next weekend...

Oh and it is the diamond capital of the world... so you'll see alot of nice jems.

LOL rumors I guess...I thought it was pretty silly myself.....but I wanted Jose to do that so bad.
