YAY! :D I woke up this moroing and they are said hello to me when I went to look! Thanks for the help guys.

I am off to work in 10 so when I get back I must take some pictures of my discus jungle! any ideas on adding 12 discus and still 50 - 70 tetras? the lady said she believes it would be fine IF I am doing my 2x weekly 30%-40% WC as they don't add a huge bio load even suggested going with 100 and 12 discus :O)! i am mixed on the idea.

it depends on the size of the discus but heres what i have in my 125g

12 discus varies between 2.5-6 inches
24 diamond tetras
6 cory cats
6 mystery snails
6 german blue ram

my tests are always great my nirates are usually under 10 its a moderately planted tank i do water change of 75% everyday so i know i can over stock. but what works for me might not for you
 
dam 75% per day, thats hardcore lol I guess maybe its better to get 12 let the bio build for 1-2 weeks add the 50 rummies test nirates again for a week see how low-high they reach re-add according to the results.

on and off topic note I am going to be setting up my 180G with 100-200 tiger barbs and 30 or so clowns for a massive schooling tank :D I will get the pictures of the discus in 30 or so feet need a rest busy day at work :(
 
thinking about it 12 discus = 120G going off 10G per discus rule, leaving 13G I think adding 50-100 tetras with this many discus is pushing it to high? anyone care give me an idea how many rummies and/or cardinals I could add with 10 or 12 discus without pushing it right to edge, I dont feel fit to do it as I am set on 100 but have to keep it reasonable...
 
i would do 25 rummy nose at the max. not sure about the quality of you discus thought i believe the blue diamond and white butterfly *MIGHT* be stunt. maybe someone can chime in with a second opinion?

as for the 180 with 30 clown loach and 100 tiger barbs i think thats way too much. remember clown loaches can get HUGE and 30 of them in a tiny 180 might not be the best
 
The White Butterfly looks an awful like a Snow White to me. The Golden Melon has nice color to it. I really don't think now that I've actually seen your tank that you need to worry about your discus darkening up. Its got alot of lighting and the white substrate helps. Just make sure to keep some swimming room for the discus.
 
My bad it is a snow white!!! white butterfly was the breeding pair I was looking at sorry! I dont have a golden melon? only Red melon? I did get 2 goldens today and 4 others :) Thanks for clearing the blackground up haha i am glad I tried it because it really brings out all the colors in the fish and none have gone darker only brighter :D I find the mainly enjoy swimming between the plants then coming up going to try my 50 rummies see how the bio load handles it.

My corys have laid eggs I am pretty sure about 50!! I dont know if I should kill them or let them hatch? OR if they even belong to the corys :S

My idea with the clowns was to split them into the 6 180Gs I have when they get larger as they are very slow growing possible one of the slowest growing fish yet school so well it seemed smart to let them school in 30s then spilt them when they get large, sorry for not mentioning this I am a bit high off all these discus I never knew I could enjoy a small fish so much, FHs a bit angry at me D: he tried to eat my finger.....!!!!

Anyways I will try and get pictures up the discus are being dripped right now so within the next 2-6 hours I should have some depending how well they settle!.
 
Small Update, made a video excuse the music cant really add much on youtube lol... just 6 more discus total of 12.

Not sure what to do rummies wise as I dont have a QT tank, I didn't qt the corys and everything is fine the rummies come from somewhat the same suppiler and have been QT before sale they looked really healthy but ? I am a tad scared to add anything to the tank after reading a bit on QTing going wrong with discus!
