Well lately i have been really considering moving on from fish and going strickly herps. ive already down graded my 75 gallon fish setup down to the 30 and now im considering as just moving on.

Suggestions on what to put in it if i go that route? im also going to have an empty 40 or 45 long i think. i know its 4 feet long but its not as tall as a 55.

anyone got suggestions for the two of them? also no snakes please. unfortionately i still live at home so cant have snakes.

Your 40 gallon long is actually great for ground dwelling herps as not as tall as 55 that directing light/heat down becomes a pain.

You have a choice of lots lizards . Be it pair of fire skinks in nice set up with driftwood, etc , curly tails (underrated active neat lizards we have a few local) small armidillo types, just a fairly large selection .

You could go desert or semi desert and again big selection there for your size tank like sand skinks , night lizards or geckos.

Lots frogs,toad-treefrogs would also do well as would small turtles.

30 gallon same as above just less animals .

u cud trya croup of pygmy chams mabey?

well if its big enough it can be like a diagonal kind of thing.

sorry i havent been around to answere back. didnt have power for 3 days.

I like the blue tounge idea.

are there any land turtles that could fit in either the 30 or the 40 long?

A nice crested for the 29 and a little mali uromastyx for the 40... Love those little lizards.
