Going to pick up shortnose gars tomorrow...

Wish me luck! I'll be heading out to Journeykc's tomorrow to pick up the gar. Not sure how many I'll be getting yet. I just set up a new 55g to put them in to fatten them up before tossing in the 125g.

Yah, he's got some green sunfish, pumpkinseed sunfish, and a lmb as well. He might have some more, since he said he was going fishing again this morning....

I think he'll get the shipping right this time as well, I just want to go so I can hand pick some (plus I'm an impatient bastard ).

WOOOHOOOO! I got my gars!! I picked up 7 of them (ok, so I got a little greedy ). I also got a couple bluegill and a couple green eared sunfish (i think) that he had. They're in the tank with the gar. I went ahead and dumped a bunch of feeders in there, since they're so skinny, and they immediately started wolfing them down.
