Any "must see" fish shops or places in general?

There are a couple good fish stores, "The Wet Spot" is often considered the best.

I've been wanting to go there.

Powell's Books is a must, I go there almost every time I go to Portland. It occupies an entire city block!

There are lots of outdoor activities if you have time and a car...

Is Powell Books pretty much a giant book store?

It is, it used to be the "world's largest", but I don't know if that's still true. It is in a cool part of town to walk around as well.

If you're driving up I could recommend some GOOD fish stores in Eugene and Corvallis.

I went there last year. I don't think you will be disappointed. I have been to every major city in the US and Portland remains my favorite.

Psssh!! There is much more fun stuff to do in St. Louis!! You should come here! We could have a whole bunch of the mods. get together. Rally, Repair, Wurm and them aren't that far... Oh I'm here too!

Cichlid Exchange is awesome...not sure if its open to the public though. . . all I know is you can order great fish from them!

Been there many times too. I won't hurt your feelings though. But I will say, there is no comparison.
