Sorry for your Loss Rally
:(
I think its clear tho that you have set, maybe even raised the bar for the proper care of the species. Thank you for that! You are the definition of a "Fish keeper"

He gave you, and us years of enjoyment and awe, and now he's swimming peacefully in the big tank in the sky!

I had never seen a Jaguar Cichlid until I joined here...so thanks for spoiling me!

Now I have to have a beer and a brat for this one too...in remembrance :D

RIP

100% agreed

I just saw this Levi. I am so sorry to hear that he is gone.

My big guy is developing problems with his eyesight. He makes a big grab for the food after it has got 3 inches away from him. I feed him with food on a stick now. I tried feeding him with my fingers but won't do that again. I forgot what a set of teeth a jag that is over 15 inches has. He made a big lunge for the food and got his upper teeth hung up on my index finger. Made a cut about 3/4" long with blood everywhere. He didn't mean to get me, he just misjudged. Seems like his left eye is getting a little better. I hope I don't have to put him down also. I will keep feeding him with a stick as long as he stays healthy.

Again I really feel for you man.

Thanks Ron. I'd hate to see you lose that beast. The first thing that went wrong with mine was his eye. It gave me fits for a year. after it looked like it healed, he just started acting weird. Keep doing what you do, because it's obvious(by the age of the fish) that you're doing it right.
