Going to the lfs what should i get?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
the original poster said tank size isn't an issue and in fact it is, a 125 can only hold so many fish at only a respectable size, of coarse the original poster needs to take in consideration of tank size compaired to his current stock's adult size. if his 125 is anything like mine, its only as wide as a 75 gallon with a couple more inches taller and 2 feet longer. which is only a run way for a large fish.

i was totally joking because they need tens of thousands of water but he said hes upgrading so i assumed he was getting a monster tank :P

I know, I hope it doesnt give him the idea of doing so, lol

I can understand why ppl say stuff about tank size and the amount of fish i have. I take what you say to heart. I have had many tanks with different set-ups over the years and for me its an adventure everytime i see different fish do i add and trade fish in all the time. I try and mox fish that shouldnt and I've been successful many times. If a fish isnt working i wont force myself to keep it.my tank has many fish on the bottom and it has middle swimmers. I was looking for something that swims on the top. I want to set the big tank up but it wont happen for a atleast a year but im hoping for sooner. I have a 125 but i would like a 150-180. I'm just going to my favorite lfs owned by a friend. I may buy a fish i may just buy filter cartridges. I have $27 for the store that i need to use up as i dont go to the store often atleast 1 every 3 months to see what he has or to trade a fish in which ive only done 2 in the past year and a half

I'm betting the OP will know to keep the 75gal setup, and move some of the fish into the 125gal once he's moved into his new home. Bides him more time until he can get his 180 or whatever.

sorry for stating my opinion on the way things are. i have 5 tanks up and running so i mix match fish all the time in an attempt to do what you are doing, but right now i am waiting for a shipment of fish so i know how the impulse buying feels. ignore my first post as i feel you know what your doing, and if you want i guess you could do some geophagus, or some SA cichlids.
