If you enjoy fashion and whatnot (or even if you don't) make it a point to visit Harajuku district - easily one of my favourites in Japan.
Going to Tokyo...suggestions??

if you're just staying in Tokyo go to Harajuku, Odiba, and the Imperial Palace. if you have time to get out of the city, like a day, go to Yokahama, Kamakur, or Nikko. i went this summer for 2 weeks and wish it had been a longer trip. Nikko was absolutely beautiful. there are so many beautiful shrines to visit. the food is great and the people are very polite. we stayed in Roppongi which has a great night life with tons of bars. just watch out for the Nigerian guys who get you to come to the buy-me-drinkie bars 
awesome! thanks for the tips guys! yeah my boss went a few months ago and he said i definitely need to check out the fish market. he said our subsidiary's office is right in the heart of the business district in tokyo, so ill get to experience the whole fast paced environment.

be adventurous with the food. just b/c we wouldn't think to eat it here doesn't mean it doesn't taste good or is very healthy for you.
