Diseases are rare, the ones causing rapid death even more in my experience. The problem must be in the water params.
You'll need to elaborate which diseases are rare instead of generalizing it. Flukes, external parasites and ich are not exactly rare and are more prevalent with carp.

You say "to cycle it (pond)". I'm guessing they could be suffering from ammonia toxicity? How big is your pond/tank?

If water parameters are fine, and they are eating, then I would guess they are ok. Keep an eye on em.

Probably a spike in Ammonia.........Goldfish should be able to live through this...That long leafy thing can just be the center vein of the leaf itself........
I disagree. Goldfish are as tolerant/intolerant as any other fish can be. Any ammonia and/or nitrite spike will eventually destroy them especially when they have already suffered for long periods from exposure to both toxic substances.

Even if they are "fine" and "eating properly", that doesn't mean there is no need to check your water parameters. Water parameters should remain under surveillance and adjusted properly in their favor instead of letting them go through to this ordeal. Not every fish have the same level of tolerance as others do. Goldfish, whether fancy or singletail, are certainly no exceptions to this.

Only got one a hold of one fish cut him open (a dead one) no parasites only thing I find in the pond are leaves and these little brown long leaf like thin I thinks it's a leaf not a parasite cuz it doest move and when you rip it, it feels like your ripping a leave , still have 5golds and going strong testing the water at about 5:00

You will not find some parasites clearly without a microscope.

Lupin can goldfish parasites affect catfish? And with the water test will it show that I have parasites ?
The tests will not show any parasites. It will simply show you whether your water parameters are still favorable for the fish or not, nothing else.

And any parasites they harbor will also harm your other fish including catfish. If you plan to keep the goldfish for a long time and even make sure your pond is as free from parasites as possible, keep the goldfish under surveillance for further symptoms and make sure their water is kept clean as much as possible. You will also need to treat them with praziquantel for flukes. ALL goldfish should be treated with prazi regardless of where they came from to battle the flukes.

Try reading here for more info on quarantining goldfish.

What freak accidents are you talking about?

There is always a reason why a fish dies. Temperature fluctuation, constant exposure to toxic substances, microscopic parasites and even sudden oxygen depletion can kill them quickly.
