Was in my lfs and saw this fish labeled gold jag he wanted 20 bucks for it jw if he is tryin to pull a fast one is there such a thing as a gold jad

There is a gold morph variety of jaguar cichlid.

there are gold jags, think it's actually a wild natural morph, not selective breeding

i've seen pics of gold jag but never really seen one in person. there's a couple of pics here on MFK posted.

Yeah there is also a Red Jag !

but the red jaguar is a documented different spieces, thats not the case with the gold is it?

I've heard of a gold jag. Jags already have a gold sheen to them...these just look brighter IMO

yep the intensity of gold coloring differ from individuals, and IMO mating period. cuz mine will intesify when they're ready to mate. here's a pic of my females.
