they're normal jags...well im not sure how to define normal...cuz as i said their golds are very intense right now.
 
normal as not hybrids... cause the "gold jag" is a hybrid right?

it's just a color morph, Staeck and Linke in American Cichlids II Large Cichlids pretty much say they are natural morphs, here's a quote:

...Besides the normal morph described above, the natural biotopes also contain specimens of yellow to golden colour. These are, however, very rare.
 
well if it is very very rare wouldnt they cost a lot more?
 
this book was last revised in 1995 or so, i'm sure breeders have selectively bred gold ones
