gold JD?

are gold JD's rare, and what do they look like full grown? my lfs has some from rapps and i might get one depending on adult looks.

I find them pretty blah compared to the normal color variety. I've seen them for sale a few times, they're not "rare" just uncommon.

I see them quite a bit around here anymore. I had one that was close to 10", but it was pretty damn ugly.

place for pets said they were from rapps, idk if it was true.

I'd believe Kevin, just last I asked who he ordered from (about a year ago) he said Rapps was too expensive for him. Guess things have changed. I'll have to see if he'll special order me fish from Rapps now...

I bought a group of 6 from Rapps... all 6 arrived heathly and are still alive...

I ended up with a pair and 4 odd males... I kept the best of the odd males and traded the others to 2 different LFSs...

They were bland looking as juvis... but they were some of the healthiest, fastest growing, most energetic, happy Cichlids I've ever seen. The guy breeding these things has done a great job.

As they are growing the best looking fish are getting more spangles and the female is getting more and more blue on her gill plate every month. Aqua Mojo has a pic of a female that has a tremendous amount of blue on her gill plate (google will find it for you easily).
