Nice looking fish and aquacraze looks legit have you ordered from them?

Julie (owner of aquacraze), was a transhiper for my fish. I got a fish directly from a breeder in thailand. Buying from her directly is a good idea as well, she just didn't like anything from what she had in stock. Chris Rounds on facebook has some good fish as well.

I was thinking that.. i even searched oldschool flowerhorns to try and compare lol.. it was hard for me to find anything to even compare hin too. I love the fish regardless what he is but id like to know the true breed.

Yeah flowerhorns are quite the pretty penny!!! Id eventually like to get another large tank and get a true king kamfa with a fat ol head on him lol

I don't get point of a very large hump. I think it's good to certain limit like a golf ball size.





I did want one at one point in my life and bought a red dragon which had potential for one, but felt like I was just following a trend

I agree. I think that the midas cichlid had a large part in the creation of the flowerhorn. The body shape and kok are so similar.

Yep, midas played the main role, then it was all selective inbreeding. Kamfas are made using Vieja x zz, so they get hump shape from Vieja as well and becomes late bloomers.

Flowerhorns definitely get a lot of from Trimacs as well, older Trimacs get very bulky. This was Andy Wood's older trimac

Yes, flowerhorns do get a significant traits from trimac. We were talking about hump.
