That tail looks awful. If he means he bred his line to have a shredded tail that is just sad. Why?
The thick seam is beautiful if it wasn’t for the fact that it looks like it’s been attacked.
The fins (tail excluded) look a lot like my male. And the $200 he is asking is for that male and 3 females. So 4 fish from his breeding stock.

The seller is only 2hrs away from me. I didn’t know anyone else nearby was actively breeding to sell. Unless this is him getting out now.
I think I just saw this exact terror at the fish store today.

I’m kinda curious now, what do they look like out there?
The tail (edging) looks different, but that isn’t surprising since the auction picture it looks shredded pretty bad. This could be it healing up. I swear it’s the same fish. Lol or a twin. This fish shop was in the same city the seller lives in so they very well could have sold it to them if the auction didn’t meet reserve.
I doubt that it's the same fish, The eyes are different .. I've been to a few LFS looking for a good specimen and so far I haven't seen anything. When I was younger I had an excellent Quality one but I was too young to realize what I had and everything I come across just isn't what I'm looking for very disappointing but it looks like you guys dont have that same problem over there Haha
It really depends. When I first wanted one the fry I had to choose from were very pale and colorless. I ended up with a female. She turned out beautiful, but not as beautiful as some knockouts here.
I can only say I’ve seen two top notch males in my area. I own one and sadly passed up ther other
But I’m biase, and beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say.
