Gold Severums...

Just picked up a couple gold Severums today. Been wanting some ever since I seen a beautiful adult pair at a lfs. Hope mine grow up to beauty's too. Here's some pics they're still little guys.

Nice looking fish. They almost look translucent. Are you hoping for a pair?
 
I saw an adult pair at a LFS a few years ago and like you have wanted them ever since. I now have a mated gold pair and am about to order some super reds and rokteils. I really like their personalities. Not overly agressive, but willing to stand their ground when necessary. Cool looking tank. Good luck with your new additions.

Thanx. Severums are what got me into cichlids in the first place. How long did it take yours to grow out?

i keep a single gold severum in a community tank. no desire to breed it but i enjoy seeing the little guys part like the red sea when the big fella cruises by
