gold spilo owners!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
mm not at all.. i heard about peaceful coexistence with 2 and more spilos! there are few serrasalmus that we can keep in group.. gold spilopleura, sanchezi (red spilo), and brandtii!! i am breeding piranahs since years so i know something about it.. i brought also a spilo in the past! pygocentrus nattereri need around 100 liter each.. serrasalmus need around 200-250 liters each but just for those species ;) 300 ltrs each should be fine anyway!

Well, I WAS going to keep 1 juvie spilo in a 30 gallon with just guppies. But that's not gonna happen, so I'm thinking about indo dats unless I see spilos around.

no I didn't get it yet. I was visiting my GF about 40 minutes away, didn't want the dat to sit in my car while we hang out for a few hours.

spilo will eat everything then..

I've kept spilos with guppies before, guppies get eaten but not all of them. The big fat females always survive.

i think ur spilo should be 20 cm or more to not eat guppies.. if it's less it surely will!

Well the guppies were meant to be eaten. Plus they'll be so much vegetation I doubt it could catch them all. The guppies are already reproducing, at least 20 of the females are giving birth, I'll have hundreds in less than a month.

Thinking about getting a single dat and some dithers...
