You're going to reconsider these fish since these are notoriously aggresive and can suck the slime coat of their tankmates as their food source.

you mean kinda like this??? but yeah, basically Chinese Algae eater stop eating algae after a while, and you will need to feed them an alternate food source or else they will start looking for their own substitute foods...

Alex, is the stock in your sig he only stock you have? You got rid of your other fish?
yes for now...

These fish are bad news. You get away with it whilst they are small but they start harassing other fish and eating slimecoats when they get bigger. Nasty little pieces of work actually - I would stay away, aside from the fact they are ugly as sin.

I've never seen bigger than about 8"-9". Mine's at about 7", but I really have to agree with what's been said several times previously, they're mean. Mine picks on my EBJD, GT and even my Raphael Catfish, all of which are bigger than the CAE. I'd chose something else unless you're really set on one. Good Luck.

So far my 2 gcae are doing fine and peacuful!
Well just see as time passes. I will be keeping a single species tank of these

I had one that grew to 9 inches I got him at 5. Hid a lot but didn't really bother my fish which are 3 yellow fin barbs 9 inches and fast as hell. Some large 10 inch predatary haps and a 10 inch bad attitude Angelicus catfish. So maybe my stock was either too fast or large or nasty for the chinese aLgae eater, but I read nothing but negative responses on this fish.

I didn't knew they were aggressive. I usually see them in community tank!

^ Not so much aggressive in the traditional way, but given the chance they will destroy a fish's slime coat making them in essence appear as a mean fish... just my opinion though...
