Golden Dorado Shoal? Anyone attempted?

I have 4 and they are relentless. Just fighting non stop.

Is this even remotely possible?

Seems this may be more difficult than a shoal of Armatus.

Sounds like it would take a public sized aquarium,dont they grow bigger than Armatus?

I had 6 6 inchers in a 300. They also fought constantly. One grew faster than the rest and, over less than a 2 week period after the 1st was eaten, ate the other 4. I figured the others had a chance to gain size after the smallest one was eaten. Didn't work out that way.

I think they get about the same size as Armatus.

Thanks for the insight Oddball. Another thing, what were you feeding yours?

I'll keep an eye on them and split up/sell if necassary.

ive seen it done.
the "secret" is kind of liking keeping multiple asian aros.
lots of them in a crowded tank.
otherwise,it wont work.
ive tried,and failed.

Ill pick mine up in a couple Hrs. I also was going to try to get multiple Golds but realized I didnt have enough tanks to add them in if it didnt work out with in the first few hrs.

Im going to raise my guy with a lot of over sized goldfish (just bigger than him... maybe 6-8") to hopefully slow down the aggression. And just maybe... maybe have a happy Armatus/Dorado combo

No pics yet, I tried with a phone and that was a joke.

This will be intersting.

Came in this morning. Was planning on tossing them in with my Jag till I saw the thing stalking goldfish last night. Had the misses set up a 20 for them this morning. Went home to check them out at lunch. Allready started nibbling freeze dried krill. She said they wer fighting. I thought it looked like playfull shoaling.

What a nice Christmas present..... WW3 in my living room in a 20 gallon.......LOL
