Golden Emperor Flowerhorn

OK I bought a labelled Golden Emperor Flowerhorn from Big als. It was not to expensive so I said what the hell.

He is only about 2-3" right now. Sort of looks like a small midas. He is orange and the belly seems a little lighter. I will post pics later. I am curious I look at this GE Flowerhorn and I wonder would mine have these spots at a small age or would those come later??

Mine has the simlar orange colour but not the spots at all??? Any help??? do I pretty much have a midas, thats got blood of other cichlids??

only 2-3" wow... thats sick dude, he's gunna be a monster when he grows... the spots might be due to shipping or movement ( stress) they should come back i think.. but i'm no pro

You probably do have a majorly midas based hybrid.. I think those spots on the one in the video are from the RT in it, and don't develop over time rather should be visable from a few inches. But I would be interested to see what yours looks like.

I think your might be a midas X flowerhorn or rt X Flowerhorn it should look nice once grown

Haha everyone thinks the one in the link is yours.

No these yellow orange flowerhorns seem newer. You probably just got one of them. I have seen plenty that look just like midas but they grow up and show more yellow and spots and such.
