HITH = Hole In The Head disease. Research it online its real common and easy to treat. Its caused from poor water quality and poor diet.

I have seen Jags of that color pattern go for up to $100-$125, But it all depends on the buyer and how bad they want the fish.

Thats a great looking Jag

Really. WOW. That makes the deal I got even better. I got him a 150g tank filter, rocks, other tank stuff, filters, hood, and a stand for $350. However I don't think people in Ohio would buy a fish for that much.

Well like I said it all depends on the buyer. Thats a really nice color and pattern on that fish. I would blow $50-$75 on that particular fish........just for breeding purposes. But im a fish freak:screwy:

What do you mean "seed the filter with media from another established tank," just take water from a tank with good bacteria in it and put some of that water in the filter?

You would actually need to take filter pads, floss, or other materials from an established tank and add it to your new set up. Don't worry if it makes your water kind of muddy looking at first. Make sure that the water is de-chlorinated and room temp before adding.

I think I was just going to dechlorinate it, then heat it up to the appropriate temperature, then use seachem stability. What do you think?
