Hi Guys, is this a male or female golden wonder killifish? Im thinking male, but I just dont know. The tail fin has some red lining to it, the body is grayish but has some yellow/blue/green streaks on it.

Very difficult to tell from photos because you can't tell how the photo has changed the way it looks. The gender difference with gold and blue panchax is more sutble then most other killis. From the photo looks male but can't guarantee it.

Well, I know the males are more colorful. Ive seen males that have lots of yellow on them, maybe like 2/3rds their body. But Ive also seen pics of ones that looked like mine. But then Ive seen pics of females similar to mine. So I am not sure. I mean, do the males have a great amount of yellow always?

No, not always. They have varying amounts of colour.

i would say male. Males usually have bright yellow and alot of red in fins female are very pale yellow to white, much larger than mals, rounder, fuller and might have bellies full of eggs.

It's a MALE! I use to keep quite a bit of Killi and I still have my golden panchax, and no matter how pretty ur female golden panchax can be, it will not look like that!

GREAT! THANKS! I am impressed with this fish. My 1st time owning and its great. I have it in a tank with a green terror and jewel cichlid and a BGK. No problems.

This fish is daring, it will jump in the middle when theres food and take off with a big mouthful. ONce in awhile I see the cichlids go for a bite, but the killi is way too fast and they cant get him.

I hate to say this! but killifish are brakish water fish! and they luv almond leaves! they are most definitely daring and jumps a heck lot, have a lid on for sure! But if your ph is around 6.5-6.8, it's best for them! they'll eventually glow gold, and red on the tails and fins, and then will have a nice green and blue tint on top. if you feed it well enough, it will get into neon gold! but one thing for sure, he doesn't get too big at all!
