Golden / Yellow Spotted Gar Fish~! (w/pics) Please Advice.

Dear all Gar lovers, greeting Guys,

My Spotted Gar, he/she was just bout 14-15+inches now, when the time i bought ths baby, bout 3+ inches during last September (2010), from months to months, he/she seems to appear & getting Yellow/Gold recently from this year January 2011, OMG, was worried, was this NORMAL ?


- Fed LIVE FISHES (mini gold fish) for beginning, Sept 2010 to April 2011.
- Recently i fed him Frozen fish/ Shrimp, both from supermarket, April 2011 till today.

Does it related to the FOOD ? Advice needed.

given these pics it's only related to food/maturity. a lateral pic would help confirm, but the fish doesn't look abnormal in terms of the typical variations in Florida gars. nice specimen--

i agree that its color is just due to the ponds yellow color, but its still a beautiful gar! and nothing wrong with it
