You dump feeders directly from the fish store bag into your tank? Water and all? I hate to be the wet blanket here but you're risking the health of your fish doing that. Goldfish/feeders are poor nutrition for fish anyway, but if you insist on feeding them you should at least quarrantine so your fish don't end up with Camallanus or columnariis (very common in feeders). I'm not trying to be critical, just helpful. I don't want you to lose your fish.

if hes lucky he will kill all his other lame fish, and be left only with awesome indestructible goldfish. jk

btw feeding goldfish cause nutrition problems in fish, so there so awesome they will kill your fish from the grave, theres a thread about them on here. i would feed mollies or guppies probably.

but yea goldfish are pretty cool even tho most people over look them.

Yeah but you forgot he said QT tank not main tank.

This happened to me with a small african cichlid fry. I tore down my tank to move and left my 65 sitting for about a week with maybe an inch of water in it. I drained it down to the substrate, and left what I couldn't get out. When I came back to move the tank, there was a little 1" baby ahli in my tank. He'd been there at least a few days, no filter, heater, circulation, nothing.
