Goldfish help, red marks that look bumpy

I’m going to agree with you as I’m not convinced it water quality either, I have had these fish for quite some time and keep up with water changes, and now filter maintenance (going to clean it this weekend with the water change)

Viral would make sense as it only affected one fish in the tank...just strange it went away just as quick as it appeared.

Curtis fruit? I never knew they would eat them, also thought it would mess with water quality!

Since you’re on top of water changes it won’t negatively effect the water. I just cut a wedge and use a rubber band to secure it to a rock. It might take them a bit to recognize it as food, but once they do they will love it:)
