I just came back from a weeding where they had a couple of live goldfish in a
glass vase with flowers as a centerpiece. Some say its cruel because you
have to find a way to dispose of the fish after. I know if it was me,
I would get a some feeder goldfish and then feed them to my Oscars afterwards.

Any thoughts.......?

lol!!! i think i could find a way to dispose of them!

Yeah...I was in one of the lfs store and there was some guy there saying that he wanted some fancy goldfish for centerpieces at a wedding. I just shoke my head and left.

what really sucks about this idea is most of the wedding party will want to take them home.. not realizing gold fish shouldn't live in a bowl..

that's crap,

there was a lady that came in to owr store and tried to by all of our red caped orandas for that purpose, so i asked her what she was going to do with them after the party and she asked me if i had ever heard of taking goldfish shots (if you don't know, this is a shot of vodka with a fish in it, you swallow the fish whole with the vodka). i got to tell her i couldn't sell her anything.

i could see if you where using feeders and planing to feed them to something after the party being Ok.
but drinking them with alcohol is a very painful way of dieing.
these are living things, they make fake goldfish for the purpose of decoration.

why don't we just use hamsters or cats for centerpieces then after we can just get rid of them, right?

that's my rant, you are free to disagree.

I would have sold her the fish and discounted them if she promised to bring me a video of them doing the shots I just see that as a interesting thing too watch

lmao... how 'bout lionfish shots...

Drowning in a glass of Vodka -- what a way to go.
Can that be arranged for humans?
