Goldfish in a wedding centerpiece?

u guys are going over board. its goldfish lol. they die when i try to cycle my tank in a huge amount of chlorine. i think i lost about 5 bux worth of goldfish when i first threw them in before the temp was warm enough... i woulda jus fed them to my bigger fish tho

A little off the topic, but when I was working at a lfs when I was in college everyone wanted a "Nemo-fish" once that damn movie came out. The most common question: "I can just stick this in a bowl, right?"

I use neons.. Nothing like pbass chasing down neon tetras..

Im not generaly for using live feeder fish, but at least when you use them as feeders they are going to some good productive food chain type of use. Instead of just being pretty for an hour and then dying.

Why not set up bettas in a healthy sized betta vase. You could throw in some small heater pads, dechlor, food, and care directions. It would make a prettier centerpiece and the guests could take them home at the end. There would be far less torture than goldfish, and if you're in to symbolism, that's a great symbol for the couple.

Nice idea but for financial reasons im sure most people would still use cheapy feeder goldfish...

yeah that would be fine if people used feeders, but they don't they use the fancy gold fish.

i hate the words "it's just a fish".

I use fancy goldfish as feeders all the time. My Endi loves those googley eyed goldfish.
