goldfish in outdoor pond?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
just make sure you get a floating water heater, you only need about a 4" hole for gas exchange but it does need to be there.. The one I use is only about 120watts & it might even help your pond from freezing into a solid block of ice if its too shallow =)

Unless the pre-formed is 24" or deeper, the winter isn't gong to work.

You could use the pond above ground and build a base for it. Hide it by building a frame and sheet it or place landscaping around it. In the winter just move the whole thing into the garage.

Don't take the goldfish to Petsmart, place an ad on here first....

lol okay. well its my moms pond that I would put them in its in a dirtmound that were going to finish landscaping this summer okay though I will do

We don't. We don't take any animals that weren't originally sold from our store (and even then, you only have a 14 day window from the sale date to do so), as we have no place to set up new quarantine tanks and they can't be resold without screwing up our system numbers.

You can talk to a store or pet care manager about leaving an ad on one of our store adoption boards though. We do readily help with finding appropriate homes for unwanted animals.

I have a solution finally my gf is going to take them to her dads farm, and she going to put them in their spring they have. theres no way for them to get anywhere besides one of her many stray cats might find them before it floods high enough for them to get out, which will be hard to do a screen covering the opening.
